We provide moving blankets and basic protective materials as standard. Optional extras include packing services, supply of boxes and materials, dismantling and reassembly of furniture, and disposal of unwanted items where agreed. What is the difference between a removals service and a basic man-and-van?

A casual man-and-van is usually just a vehicle and driver, sometimes with minimal assistance and no insurance or formal procedures. Our removals service provides a professional team, proper lifting equipment, insurance cover, planned loading and unloading, and a structured process from quote to completion. We assess access, protect your belongings, and work to agreed timings. While our service may cost more than a basic man-and-van, it significantly reduces risk, stress and the likelihood of damage or delays, especially for full home or office moves.

How far in advance should I book my removal?

Ideally, you should book as soon as you have a confirmed moving date, particularly if you plan to move at month-end or on a weekend, when demand is highest. For most standard moves, one to three weeks’ notice gives us time to carry out a survey, confirm access arrangements and prepare any packing materials you may need.
